Do you sometimes have this too, that you go to a bar with friends, you want to order your favorite drink, and every time you go for another one, it’s somehow different? Unfortunately, human error sometimes also occurs in the profession of bartenders. The solution to this situation is proposed by Robbie Drink startup, whose robot is an intelligent bartender capable of preparing any drink in the world, enjoying great popularity at events.

What does the Robbie Drink do?
Our interview started with a question – “what does the Robbie Drink do?” and the answer was that:
Jeremi Przeorek: “Robbie Drink is a robotic bartender and we have two core services – one is renting our bartender on special events, usually for corporate clients and the second one is putting this bartender inside restaurants and we are working in a robot as a service model”
How does ordering a drink with Robbie Drink look like?
If we go for a drink at a bar we just ask a bartender for it. How does it look with Robbie Drink?
Klaudia Keil: “Basically, the ordering is done with only two steps, which was really important for us. The customer has a tablet in which he selects the drink from the menu and he just clicks order. Also, he can personalize the drink by adding or subtracting some ingredients from the selected drink, so he can make a perfect drink for him. Actually, it is very easy what was really important to us. […] We have a menu with some drinks that are ready and which the user can edit by pressing plus and minus in the ingredients. […] The nice thing that we have is a drink generator that uses artificial intelligence.”

How looks using artificial intelligence by your robot?
Jeremi Przeorek: “Actually we have one drink which is on the menu and it is called ‘Robbie AI’. After you choose this drink, the robot will ask you three questions from the whole bunch of them, which depends on the event. […] After these three questions, we combine keywords and the answer, and then AI tries to come up with a unique name and ingredients.”
Beginning of the idea
How did the idea of this startup and especially the robot come up?
Klaudia Keil: “Jeremi and Marcin were working in the same company from which we have a robot. On the business trip, they decided to make a prototype for Marcin’s wedding and there we saw that the robot was a huge success and people were paying more attention to the robot than the actual event. Then we decided that this is a really good idea to give it a go and try to expand it more.”
